Nicolle Wagner-Stinson pled guilty to concealing a sexual assault in a nursing home in Syracuse, New York. Wagner-Stinson, as the former director of the Mohawk Valley Health Care Center, admitted to destroying a witness statement which described a sexual assault incident between two nursing home residents and concealing medical records to cover up patient neglect.
State officials said nursing home officials covered up two incidents that happened in May 2013. The first involved a serious medication error that went unnoticed for several days and the other incident involved a resident with dementia engaging in sexual conduct towards another resident in an unsupervised dining room. If this were not distressing enough, state attorney generals noted that the owner then criminally eavesdropped on state investigators.
