Nursing home abuse allegations continue throughout the nation. Carla Jean Hill, 50, of Waukomi, Oklahoma is a former nursing home caretaker in Hennessey that has been charged with one count of felony abuse by caretaker in Kingfisher County District Court. She entered a not guilty plea. The former nursing home caretaker is accused of abusing a 90-year-old resident at the Hennessey Manor Nursing Home where she was employed as a nurse aide.According to the affidavit, on Aug. 9, 2014, Hill allegedly “slammed” the victim’s wrist on a bathroom rail multiple times while attempting to lift the resident from the floor. An assisting aide witnessed the abuse, a news release from the state attorney general’s office stated. Hill was fired after the alleged abuse.
If convicted, she could spend up to 10 years in prison and pay fines up to $10,000. According to the affidavit, when Hill was asked about the situation, she responded that, “It could have happened.”
