Robert Cox is a trial lawyer. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Robert graduated from Southside High School in Memphis. He left Memphis to receive a B.A from Princeton University and attended the University of Notre Dame, where he received his law degree in 1990. Robert joined Glassman, Wyatt, Tuttle & Cox, P. C. in 1990 and has remained with the same firm throughout his entire career.
Robert is admitted to practice before state courts in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi and also some federal courts including the U.S. District Courts for the Western District of Tennessee, Northern & Southern Divisions of Mississippi and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Circuits.
Robert is a member of a number of Bar Associations including the Memphis and Shelby County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Bar Association – Litigation Section, the National Bar Association, Ben F. Jones Chapter, and the Mississippi Bar Association. He is a former member of the American Inns of Court, Leo Bearman, Sr. Chapter and a former hearing committee member Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility.
Robert gives back to his community having served on a number of charitable boards and sponsoring a number of local charities including for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Memphis and the Porter Leath Children’s Center.
