The Park City Daily News is reporting that three former workers at a nursing home on charges of abuse and neglect of patients at the facility. 30-year-old Jerry Matthew Snyder, 22-year-old Kayla D. Kinser and 49-year-old Kelly D. Duvall were indicted Wednesday by an Edmonson County grand jury on various charges related to alleged patient abuse at the Genesis HealthCare’s Edmonson Center Nursing Home in Brownsville, Kentucky, outside of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Our team of lawyers helps people that have been abused in nursing homes.
Snyder faces 14 counts of criminal abuse, 14 counts of fourth-degree assault, 14 counts of knowingly abusing/neglecting an adult and two counts of wanton endangerment. Kinser and Duvall each face four counts of criminal abuse, two counts of wanton endangerment and four counts of knowingly abusing/neglecting an adult. In addition, Duvall faces four counts of fourth-degree assault, and Kinser faces one count of fourth-degree assault. We are shocked and outraged that employees of any facility would assault a vulnerable population, such as residents of an assisted living facility.
